It is unbelievable for me as a mom to watch my daughter have yet another birthday! She has become the most contemplative, talkative, imaginative, articulate, curious and just all around intelligent little girl.
She asks the big questions, what came first the dinosaur or the egg. She wants proof that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy really exist and has determined, via her own logic, they do not. She plays along with my fanciful ideals nicely – I think she is under the impression she is letting me live the dream a little longer. She still believes that Tinker Bell and Disneyland are magical. She is very interested in science concepts. Lately she has asked about human cells being implanted into animal, she wants to know why she is not allowed to build a warp drive in her amazing machines camp (she has been playing more RPG video games and watching StarWars with her daddy). She is certain light speed means getting to CA will take less than five hours and more like one. She is very focused on becoming a vet and can not wait to have a bunch of cats when she is older. She is still under negotiations on whether she is allowed to live in my house while she collects these animals.
“Beezus’s” birth is really the start of one of the most amazing journeys I will ever have the joy of embarking on. In so many ways my tiny little girl and I have taken the world on together. I know we will continue to do so!
I know that Beezus will grow up to do amazing things! I love you sugar. Have a great Birthday!
